I have an Samsung S9 that by default does "Super Slo Mo" at 960fps that does some motion detect magic and only videos the fast part of the swing in slo mo but it’s flakey and useless in my opinion. Maybe I just don’t understand how to use it.

I know you asked for video quality, but also another consideration is the interface. I really like the iPhone for its interface. It’s just so easy to record, edit, upload to wherever, find a old video, etc… It’s just a simple intuitive interface that I’ve found to be better than other phones.

If you use the Hudl Golf app, it uses the phone’s best frame rate and has a great interface for editing and playback, including selectable speeds of 1/1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 of the original speed. Plus you can draw lines and spool back and forth with a very fine “wheel”, rather than grabbing the cursor and trying to move just a frame.

I currently have the Galaxy S7 from 2016 with slo mo but I find the slo mo is almost too high definition and the colours seem a little unnatural and you can almost see every blade of grass. Its not as soft and natural as say my Casio EXf1 which is maybe a little more ‘blurry’ and soft rather than very sharp edges etc..

I heard a lot about V1 but found Hudl in the meantime and it’s great. 240 fps is absolutely sufficient and in good lighting conditions, it’s very good looking at 1/8 speed.

Ok so I got the Samsung S10e as there was a deal on it and they gave me 14 days to use it and I can return it if I dont like it and swap it for an iphone 11.
